The Lake is
located in the village of Tahai, the municipality
of Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan province. The Lake
is located approximately 30 km from the city
of Palangkaraya heading into the area ofSampit. The
word itself is derived from
the Tahai Dayak meaning Lake.
Based on a
story developing in communities surrounding there are 2
versions that develop on asal-muasalnya Lake. The
first version States that it was formed because the Tahai Lake accumulation
of standing water at the site of the mining of
sand. While the second version is due to changes
in river flow Kahayan, resulting in standing
water that does not follow the flow of the river. However,
from the second version until today there is
no official data about the formation of Lake Tahai.
Indeed in the
area of Borneo, there is an awful lot of the Lake. But most
of the public prefer the Tahai Lake as
one its goals. This is because in this Lake has
some distinction of on other lakes in the

Utan. Breeding Foundation belongs to the BOSS (the
Borneo Orangutan Survival). But unfortunately this captivity
is open to the public only on Sundays or public

The location of the Lake
is indeed a little bit get
